Mergetags are here!
This past month, we launched mergetags for Mailchimp. MailerLite is coming next week, and the rest will follow soon after.
Mergetags are bits of code that let you dynamically personalise emails with subscriber’s names, emails, and more.
In our case, we’ve created a standard mergetag format inside Newsletter Glue. Our plugin then detects which email service provider you’re using and converts it automatically to the correct code format.
Here are some mergetags you can now add to your newsletters:
- First name
- Email
- Read online links
- Unsubscribe links
- Admin address
Mailchimp users: Start using mergetags right away
If you’re connected to Mailchimp, create a new post in the newsletter editor, then search for the {{ }} icon in your toolbar. You’ll find all the mergetags options there.
