Custom URL slug

Custom URL Slugs = Newsletter Goodness

You can now change your newsletter custom post type slug. For example: enough.pizza/newsletter/archive can now be enough.pizza/cheese/archive.

You can find this feature at Newsletters > Settings > Additional.

This is great for users with a specific name for their newsletter, who want to use that name for the slug. It’s also helpful if your newsletter isn’t in English and you don’t want the word “newsletter” in your slug as it sticks out like a sore thumb.

The slug is the last part of a URL that specifies a specific page or post on a website. A good slug can positively impact your search engine optimization if you use it correctly!

It’s important to remember that a slug can only be used once, so you want to ensure that you’re using them for the right page, and that they are permanent.

Some tips for slug customization:

  • Remove words like “a” or “and” or “the. “what-is-a-custom-url-slug-and-how-to-use-it” would become “custom-url-slug” or similar.
  • Keep it short.
  • Use only lower-case letters.
  • Don’t include dates, etc.

Big News: The Black Friday Sale is Alive!

This is the only sale we’ll have this year. As a newsletter subscriber, here’s the inside scoop:

  1. Newsletter Glue v.2 is launching at the end of the year/early next year. And prices will be changing.
  2. This is the last time you’ll be able to buy 10 site licenses at this price point.
  3. Shh! Don’t tell anybody but we’ll be launching the ability to add multiple integrations at the same time. For example, by next year, you’ll be able to use Newsletter Glue for WooCommerce AND Mailchimp emails.
  4. Features like these and more will be on higher pricing tiers.
  5. This sale is also great for newsrooms or paid publications who have multiple authors, editors and developers and you want to limit user permissions. But don’t want to shell out $1,425 for it.
  6. Existing users can get a pro-rated discount by upgrading to the the Newsroom tier. Log into your Account, then head to View licenses > View upgrades to upgrade.
This image details the Newsletter Glue Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. Buyers can get 80% off of the Newsroom tier, which includes a 10-site license and is billed yearly. The package gives users access to Klaviyo integration, user permissions, access to all future features, no access to white glove onboarding or video support, and the discount is available to existing users.
